Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences organized 2 days International Conference on Devices, circuits, and system from 5th to 6th March 2020 in collaboration with IEEE.The conference was started with prayer. Dr. D. Nirmal, Head, Department of ECE welcomed the gathering. The conference was inaugurated by the chief guest DR. D. S. Rawal – (associate director solid state physics lab Delhi) along with Dr. Manish Kumar Hooda (head technology development division ISRO, Mohali). . The conference was presided over by Dr. P. Manar Jawahar vice chancellor Karunya institute of technology and sciences.
Dr D S Rawal in his inaugural address highlighted about the importance of the semiconductor and its impact, usefulness in the field of defence and green energy development. He also emphasized that during the year 2029 the semiconductor technology will be the boon to the field of devices, circuits and systems because the semiconductor industry will grow towards 1.4nm scale. Dr. Manish Kumar Hooda in his speech highlighted the primary goal to promote research and development activities in circuits, devices and systems. He also commented about the consumer products in which semiconductors have become more heavily embedded in an ever increasing number of products like cell phones, computers, tablets and automobiles. There is an increase of 21.6% of sales of semiconductor products compared to the previous year that contributes to the demand in the field of semiconductors. Finally he pointed out digital India programs with the vision to transform India into digitally empowered society. Digital India aims to provide much needed thrust to 9 pillars of growth areas like Broadband Highways, universal access to phones, Public internet access program, e-Governance, e-Kranti, information to all electronics manufacturing, IT for jobs and early harvest programs. Dr. D S Rawal chief guest of the conference released the conference proceedings in the presence of Dr Manish Kumar Hooda. The importance of the conference was highlighted by Dr N M Sivamangai, Dr Prince Arul Raj dean E&T greeted the function with his words of wisdom. Finally the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Sridevi Sathyapriya. Many researchers, academicians and scholars participated in this two days International conference and shared their ideas and concepts.
