To succeed in personal life, it is necessary to develop not only a brilliant mind but also a compelling personality. Such personality aids us in presenting ourselves beautifully in front of others and making a good first impression. Every point is presented in a step-by-step format for easy comprehension. Personality is crucial in an individual’s life since it impacts not only how we act or react to a certain thing, but also how we interact and respond to the world.

People have this false notion that personality is something that is a god-gifted trait which is not completely true as people can enhance their personality by working on themselves. Having felt this notion among a lot of people, filmmaker Ashwin Alok decided to credit his personal experiences and shares his 7 principles to an entrancing personality.

  1. Make decisions very often

People don’t make decisions and that’s why they are afraid of failure. Staying alone helps us to make more decisions – what to eat for lunch or dinner, should I have tea or coffee? Every small decision like this gives us a sense of accomplishment. And every finished work boosts our confidence. If you truly decide to do something, you can almost do anything.

A decision is the basis of any progress in life. Unless you make a decision and act upon it, nothing is going to change in life. Therefore, making a decision not only helps you get rid of the fear that you develop unconsciously but also helps you to witness changes in your life for good.

  1. The exquisite nature of relationships

Relationships are the most beautiful things on earth. It’s the foundation of all we do. They mold us ever since from the moment we are born until we die. Some relationships are pre-established after we are born and some are made consciously over the lifetime. You must open yourself up, become vulnerable, and be a child in awe and fear to truly know someone and develop a relationship that feeds your spirit. This is the most dreadful thing, even more, terrifying than any calamity or suffering that might befall us. Yet, letting go, diving into that terror gives life meaning. We must let go of our protection and allow vulnerability to take over in order to genuinely comprehend another person.

  1. The First Impression

Body language either creates a long-lasting impression or sends out a rather cold vibe. Establishing eye contact while making a conversation, maintaining the right posture, giving a smile at the right point while talking are small little things that people notice. Being able to make eye contact makes other people believe that you are firmly paying attention to what they are speaking rather than just listening. People often tend to develop an instant connection with somebody who uses hand gestures during the conversation as it shows a sign of confidence that the person is having as well as it is an indicator of the fact that the person has immense knowledge of the subject they are talking about. Everyone admires people who know how to present themselves with elegance.

  1. Read Self-development Books

When you read an inspiring book every day, your brain is constantly bombarded with positive words and concepts. Making time for this improves your vibration and helps you stay in peak condition more often. It’s not about improving your life; it’s about enhancing it by reading an inspiring book every day. The goal of personal growth is to improve what you already have rather than to improve what you think you need. When you approach each book as a treasure map for hidden wisdom, you develop a fun, inquisitive mindset that allows you to examine each book from a grounded, expansive perspective. Self-development books help one to develop personal projects that propel your career forward.

  1. Speaking and listening skills

Communication is essential to solving any problem, but one factor that many people overlook is the importance of listening as well as speaking while communicating. Unless you know how to speak well and can leave a deep sense of admiration for you in the mind of the people, you won’t be able to go very far in life. As they say, we have one mouth and two ears, and therefore, we should speak less and listen more. The majority of the people know how to talk but very few know the power of conscious listening. Listening to others not only heal their wounds by 50% but also helps you win their respect. Listen with a feeling that you actually care about the speaker’s feelings and you want to help them out in any possible manner. A compassionate heart wins the affection of people and is supported by them selflessly in times of need. Compassion helps you to connect with people at the soul level. If you can connect with people at that level, you can transform their whole life in a flick of a switch.

  1. Organizing and Managing Time

There never seems to be enough time in the day. But, given that we all have the same 24 hours, why do some people do so much more than others? Good time management is the answer. The top achievers are masters of time management. You can improve your capacity to perform more successfully by applying time-management skills in this area, even when time is short and pressures are high. Because you’re dividing your attention between so many different projects, spending your day in a frenzy of activity typically results in less. Work smarter, not harder, with good time management, and you’ll get more done in less time.

  1. Become a leader

Ashwin says, “Become a Leader – become someone whom people would want to follow. Become an inspiration to the masses by providing value to mankind with your skills and abilities. This world needs great and powerful leaders like you. Stay disciplined even when no one’s watching you. Stay true to yourself and support yourself to surpass the ground level and reach higher stations in life. The distance between your dreams and reality is discipline. Everyone must choose one of two pains – The pain of discipline or The pain of regret.”

Great leaders do not avoid confrontation; they deal with it and learn to communicate properly. Great leaders understand that in order to gain commitment, they must demonstrate why and how following them would help people achieve their goals.
